Jordan Bruns has been making work at Glen Echo Park in Maryland for over 18 years, and the studio in the Chautauqua Tower is very much open for visitors. Come see what’s on the walls. The work spans abstraction and representation – layered, process-driven paintings built up from acrylic, spray paint, enamel, shellac, and oil – and it changes regularly because Jordan evolves with the work.
If you’re looking for classes, there’s a full program running out of the Tower studio/gallery/classroom covering everything from observational oil painting and plein air to experimental drawing and abstract work. Students range from beginners to working artists, and the atmosphere is more working-studio than classroom.
Either way, Glen Echo is worth the trip.
